I am an Adobe Illustrator Tutor
Adobe Illustrator is one of my favorite computer graphics applications. If are are an artist, it is heavenly. If you have your own business and you want to make flyers and newsletters, it is wonderful.
It comes loaded with super tools that only your imagination can shut down.
As an Adobe Illustrator Tutor, early on, in 1993, I found that the application was not intuitive. If you are a new Photoshop user, or an experienced Photoshop user, when you go into Adobe Illustrator it is a whole new world and almost everything you know about Photoshop, you can throw out of the door.
Adobe Illustrator was one of the most challenging applications I had to learn. It is vector based. It´s all about paths and anchor points, grouped, and ungrouped. Pixels (as in Photoshop) and vectors are two totally different animals.
The difference is pixels print ok given the original width and height of the image. But if you take a 5 inch by 5 inch photo, and make it 5 feet my 5 feet, you´re going to see a really ugly image.
With Adobe Illustrator, if you take a 5 inch by 5 inch logo, created with Illustrator vectors and make it the size of the moon, then there will be no distortion what so ever.
As an Adobe Illustrator Tutor, I have taught senior designers from The Gap, Old Navy, Wells Fargo, Citi Group, The United States Coast Guard, The Federal Reserve and Visa, all how to master the tools in Adobe Illustrator. I would be help you.
