History!  Americans Spend More Time With Phone than TV

Responsive Web Design Teacher, March 5th, 2014

responsive web design teacherHi, Thanks for the Click. I´m Bill the Geek and I´m a Responsive Web Design Teacher.

This January of 2014, for the first time in US History, people spent more time per day viewing their phones, than they did viewing their televisions. And for what it´s worth, the average American spends close to 5 hours per day watching TV. Can you imagine that, 5 hours a day in front of the TV.

Well, instead of 5 hours a day watching the TV, people are spending 5 hours or more per day with that phone in their face. Thus, if you have a web site, you surely want it to look good on that phone, mobile device, tablet, whatever you want to call it. And that is why it is so important in this day and age to develop your web site or web presentation for as many devises as you can with the least amount of effort.

I have a lot of fun being a Responsive Web Design Teacher. I meet and share time with new clients from all over the world. They want to know how to make their sites look good on every device possible. From 50 inch big screen televisions, to 2.5 inch wide mobile phones (yes, there are thousands of people using their 50 inch big screens to search the internet).

Being a responsive web design teacher, I see so many types of design and so many needs. Responsive Web Design can be very easy. Or, it can be extremely complex. The thing is, it depends on what you want for your web site.

I´m a responsive web design teacher for one client in London, England (most of my clients are in the USA, but, I have them in English speaking nations around the world). He has a very basic, functional, informative site. The way it´s built now, it´s good until you get down to the iPad. Then it´s ok, but needs some tweaking. Once it gets to the Samsung, it really needs help. For this client, about 20 lines of CSS fixed his situation and made his site look great on big screens down to iPhones.

I´m a responsive web design teacher. I know my CSS and Html very well. The page you are on now,,,,, make it big,,,,,, make it small,,,,, watch it change. As your responsive web design teacher, I can help you learn to control your page the way I that I control mine.

Drop me a line, give me a call, watch my “How this works” video and we can get started.

Thanks, Bill the Geek, Responsive Web Design Teacher.
