Who Am I?

I’m an old, happy guy, but to this day I wonder, “Who am I?” Not only do I ask myself, “Who Am I,”, I ask myself, “ What am I?”

Do you ask that question or am I the only one curious about that.

In trying to answer the question, “Who am I?” I was wondering if watching 8 hours of college football and drinking a keg of beer would help me answer that question. In trying to answer the question, “Who am I?” I was wondering if working 8 hours a day at McDonalds or as an accountant, or an office manager would help me answer that. In trying to answer the question, “Who am I?” I was wondering if chasing lots of women and going to bars every Friday night would help me answer that question.

In trying to answer the question, “Who am I?” I was wondering if being Black is who I am. In trying to answer the question, “Who am I?” I was wondering if being a straight male is the answer to that question. In trying to answer the question, “Who am I?” I was wondering if being an American is the answer to that question.

I also look around and see all of these different types of people walking all around me all of the time from all over the world. Puerto Vallarta is in the top 10 vacation spots in the world. I look at these people from all over the world, and I ask, “Who are they beyond what I can see of them?”

In trying to answer the question, “Who am I?” I ask myself, given the labels that I have been assigned or accepted by society, how does that effect who I think I am.

There Ya Go, take a look at “Who am I.”
