Making Divi Menus is really easy. A monkey at the zoo could make Divi menus. That is how easy it is. But, let me say that the monkey would have to know the right buttons to push or none of the menus or menu items will show up. Thus, when I am working with people or even sometimes monkeys and we are Making Divi Menus, I show them where all of the buttons are and they are one their way, Making Divi Menus.
In Divi, by default you have the ability to create menus in three different places. There is the Primary Menu, the Secondary Menu and finally the Footer Menu. You make each of these in a bit of a different fashion. You may think that the same stuff would show up in all three menus. Well, that can be the case but why would you want to have the same stuff showing up in all three different places. You can have separate, different menu items in all three location. My monkey friends really like that. They jump up and down and throw their bananas all over the place. They get so excited that they always make a big mess.
Anyway, over the years I have learned to pay attention to things a different way when it comes to web design. No a days, the first thing I think of is, “What am I trying to sell?” What pages can I make and then create content for SEO to get people to those pages. That comes down to the URL page name. After I have answered those questions, then I can make most of the important pages first, then I can easily make the menus. Once the menus are all set up in Divi, then it is easy to navigate through the site, just clicking on the menu items, going the the pages, and then clicking “Edit Page,” to add content to all of the pages.
I have to say it. For you new comers to making web sites. Back in the day of hand writing code, if you didn’t know PHP, the if you added one link to a page and wanted to change that link in every page, you had to go through all pages to make the change. When Making Divi Menus, you make the change one time, and it happens on each and every page. WoW!
