You may ask yourself, “Self, what is the big deal about uploading WordPress files to your server.” The answer is that there are just some things that WordPress will not do for you. Thus, uploading WordPress files to your server is something that you will need to know at some point in your WordPress life.

Of course, the reason that many people use WordPress is that they don’t want anything to do with uploading WordPress files to your server. They want WordPress to do everything. They want WordPress to do the SEO, check the time and date, send out the newsletter, build the forms, send out the announcements, crop the images, resize the images and place the pages and post on page 1 of Google.
I guess that’s really not that much to ask.

So now you might be thinking, “Self, why is this guy putting this uploading WordPress files to your server, in the middle of the image section of the videos.” We are about to move into the land of background images. In the land of WordPress, there is pretty much no background button in any theme I have ever seen ( never say never, but I haven´t seen it yet, I´m sure it´s out there in some theme ).

Putting background images in WordPress sites is very common. Default background images in WordPress themes is very common also. Thus, to add background images, or to change default background images, one must change the style.css file and then upload that file to the server.

That is why this video is in the middle of the images section. There are more benefits to uploading files to your server, and this is one of them.
