WordPress Image Widget

The WordPress Image Widget comes in quite handy. The WordPress Image is easy to install, easy to activate, easy to place into any sidebar and the WordPress Image Widget is extremely valuable. If you are new to the web, or just new to WordPress, this video may open your eyes about the value of the WordPress Image Widget.

Before we continue, let’s clarify something that we have not mentioned yet in this series about WordPress. We haven´t mentioned that Widgets are actually Plugins. There Ya go, rap your head around it, accept it and move ahead. If you want some strange thing that has some strange function to go into any WordPress sidebar, that thing is a Widget and you install it just like it was, or is a plugin.

Now, what are the benefits of using the WordPress Image Widget? The cool thing about any widget that you use in a sidebar is that the widget can show up on every page of your site. Most people use widgets to provide global information on all, many or most pages in the site.

Sure, there is a text Widget for WordPress, but the fact of the matter is, we live in the new “digital age” and people are used to seeing images. People are moved by images. So, if you haven’t already, get with the program and use images as opposed to text, Globally.

So, let’s say you have a gift site and it’s Thanksgiving. You take a picture of the turkey that live across the street from you ( I mean a bird ), then you place some text on it that says “Monthly Specials.” Then, you put that image in a sidebar widget. In the widget you place a link on the images that goes to your Monthly Specials page or post.

After Thanksgiving, you are very productive and you make 2,000 more pages on your gift site. Then the Holiday season comes along. You change the Turkey to Santa Claus, and that’s it. Because the image is in the widget, and the widget is in 2,000 pages, and since the widget link goes to Monthly Specials, you have changes the image in all 2,000 pages in about 60 or less seconds.

That is the benefit of using the WordPress Image Widget.
